Yael spent 2 months volunteering with a Kurdish NGO, based out of Erbil, Iraq, advising on the current Iraqi IDP crisis, and influx of Syrian refugees. There she volunteered with the Barzani Charity Foundation, and with the Kurdistan Regional Government. She conducted research on alternative conflict management solutions to the disputed territories.
